Jenny from the Block (Woman into Donkey)

The day was a rather ordinary one in Orenfield. A small farm town with a population under 500, Orenfield was the complete opposite of what Jenny wanted in life. Jenny wanted excitement and adventure. As an 18 year old, she did not want to be stuck on a farm looking at stupid donkeys and cows all day. She stared out at the window of the moving van watching her past life in Chicago seem farther and farther away. “Mom this is dumb. Dad is not evil, we certainly don’t need to be driving away from him and hiding in some shit hole of a town”, Jenny shouted. The brakes of the car slammed and horns blasted from behind the moving van. No doubt some of their stuff in the back was broken. Her mother and Jenny made eye contact, and Jenny could see nothing but fury. Perhaps it wasn’t all anger, maybe there was sadness behind that glare. “Well what do you want me to do about this Jen! I already bought the fucking place. I can’t stand the city and your father is Satan himself. You don’t see but I have lived with the man for over twenty years and he is a dick to you and me. So stop your fucking whining and calm the hell down before I make you walk to the new place”, her mother retaliated. The shouts echoed in the car’s cabin and Jenny turned away from her mother instantly. She hated her mother, there was no more love left for Jenny after the divorce. Her mom became a shell of bitter hatred for the world but the courts decided that she would be a better caregiver. The system was fucked if they honestly believe that. Jenny felt trapped and alone, imprisoned even. Just like those animals in the field who were gated in, she did not see any escape. As the day continued to pass, and the drive seemed longer and longer, Jenny felt her eyes grow heavy. As her eyelids began to close she noticed an elderly woman slowly walking down the highway. Jenny raised her head and the older woman turned her head towards the van. Jenny noticed she had one blue eye and one brown one, her hair was fringed and wild, and her skin was wrinkly. She had some age on her, that’s for sure. The woman just stared at the van as it drove by. “Mom are you just going to leave that person on the side of the road?” Jenny asked in a panic. Her mom looked over confused. “What are you talking about? No one is out there. Now can you stop stressing me out about all the fucking ghosts on the highway”. With that being said, both of them were silent for the remainder of the trip.

Jenny opened the door to her new house and was immediately hit with the scent of an elderly home and play dough. It was almost enough to make her gag. As her mom walked through the door, she breathed in deeply and seemed to enjoy the odd aroma. Jenny rolled her eyes, figures her mom would love the scent of an old person. She smirked as she walked out to the van and grabbed her belongings. Jenny and her mom waited for all the movers to help with the furniture before the started to unpack their stuff. Jenny finished early and needed fresh air. This day was too stressful and if she was going to enjoy her new life out here, she better start by enjoying how quiet it was. She snuck out the back door, trying not to alert her mother. Closing the door softly behind her she vanished off into the darkness of the barnyard. The cool air brushed against her cheek, the gust swaying the trees in the process. For some reason, being isolated in nature felt right. She was secure, away from her crazed mother and away from society. She looked at the gated field across the road. It didn’t seem as lonely and trapped as before. She almost wished that she could have a life as simple as the animals. Laying in a field all day was much more tolerable than dealing with an emotionally unstable parent and being the new girl at school. As she stared across the street she started to feel like she was being watched. Quickly turning to the left, she saw a shadow move behind a tree in her yard. With fear swelling in her chest she moved towards the tree. Slowly moving her head around the corner she whispered in stuttered speech, “Hello”. She was left clueless when nothing was behind the tree. The feeling of being watched was gone and nothing but the trees moving could be heard.

The next morning, Jenny walked down to the kitchen to grab a quick breakfast before school. Knots filled her stomach about being the new girl. Her mother merely scoffing when Jenny told her. “It is just school, stop being such a wreck and just go. Your father made such a big deal about his classes and look where he is, banging some whore while I’m home taking care of the house”. Jenny tried to control the anger inside, the responses building in her head until she had to say something. “This is so fucking ridiculous. You have no right to accuse him of that. He loved this family much more than you ever did. You are just some bitter housewife who I was unlucky enough to be stuck with. You think I want to finish out my senior year of high school out here and constantly hearing you bad mouth my father. I am done, I’m going to just go walk in the woods and hopefully get lost. That way I will be done with living here and being stuck with you”, screamed Jenny. On that cue, she bust through the back door and walked straight into the woods, while her mother was shouting for her to come back and get to school. School was the last thing on Jenny’s mind at the moment. Life was so fucked up, she hated being human sometimes. She could not help but continue to walk mile after mile as she tried to find a comfort in nature and isolation. She continued to walk through the woods until she came out on what appeared to be the other side.  This side had a fenced in farm like area, very common in this part of town. Jenny felt sort of bad about yelling at her mother but she knew her mother was in the wrong. Her dad did not deserve any of this and she believed that her mom is just emotionally confused. Hopping the fence, the area appeared deserted. A stall loomed in the distance with a house that seemed broken down and abandoned. It was then when everything in her life became inversed.

It started with a small itching sensation on her left ankle. Thinking it was a bug bite, Jenny leaned over and scratched her leg. She did notice her arm hair was darker by a few shades but it could have just been her eyes playing tricks on her. She continued to walk towards the stall and just explore when the itching appeared to spread further up her leg. “Could it be something in my jeans”, she thought to herself. Once again, she scratched at her legs and once again she saw her arm hair was darker still. This time the hair on her arms appeared to be thicker too. Sure enough as Jenny stared at her arm she saw the hair slightly getting longer and thicker. Some areas were even starting to look like fur. Frightened she pulled up her pants leg expecting the worst. Sure enough, she saw the fur like hair running up her legs and into her underwear. This was the moment she noticed a throbbing sensation in her lower spine. She could feel it stretching and her eyes widened when she realized what was happening. She knew it had to be a donkey tail, there was nothing else that it could be. The tail grew over her jeans, which were becoming way too small on her as her hips widened. Jenny looked down at her changing body and wanted to run or at least react, but instead she was rather turned on and felt comfortable. Her chest was beginning to swell and stretch the t-shirt she was wearing. The muscle of her upper chest consuming her breasts in the process. Her hands began to sub consciously run down her legs and over her body. She ran her stiffening fingers through her fur that was now covering most of her legs. The fur was growing thicker and became a light brown color. As her hands and fingers ran over her body, they grew stiffer as her fingers began to fuse together. Her hand eventually became a hoof that was meet by the spreading fur on her arms. She looked on in a haze as her body continued to grow in mass as her thighs ripped her jeans open at the seams. The fur was helping add to the mass and destroy her pants further. Her underwear was not safe either as her hips continued to widen and finally tear them off. Her nether region was exposed to the open air and she was really getting into the changes. All time and surroundings were lost in her shift. Her feet finally shifted slowly and the straps on her sandals began to pop off one by one. Her feet grew in size and her toes fused together like her fingers did. The fur started to grow on top of her feet as well, continuing to grow longer as time progressed. Her face started to feel numb as Jenny noticed her nose swelling and stretching outward.  Her tongue was also getting larger and swelling inside her mouth. Jenny’s ears began to stretch out and the dusting of fur sprouted from those as well. The fur made its way down her cheeks and covered her face. The weight of gravity began to feel much stronger as her body was forced onto all fours. Finally after what seemed like ages, Jenny opened her eyes to a whole new world. She still had her human thoughts and knew what she had become. She was still freakishly calm for the entire series of events. She looked up towards the abandoned house and saw the same older woman that she saw on the highway earlier. The woman could have been some witch, a ghost maybe. Did she cause this to happen? Was this her idea giving Jenny the peace that she so desperately wanted?  Jenny began to approach the woman, wobbling from the shift in body type. However, in the blink of an eye the woman was gone. Jenny was taken back and was at a loss of what to do next. She spent the entire day exploring her new body and enjoying the comfort of nature. Eventually lumbering off into a deep nap as the sun shined down on her donkey form.

Jenny woke up naked under in the middle of the abandoned field. Sitting upright, she looked down at herself in amazement that she was human again. Why was she only a donkey for a day? Many more questions were running through her head but she had to get back home and out of the open. As she approached her home, she snuck into the back door and crept into her room. Now fully clothed she walked out to find her mom sitting in the kitchen crying. Jenny walked up to her mom and hugged her, apologizing for any outburst earlier. She was happy to be home and human again but she still thought about the entire experience in her head. She was daydreaming actually and remembering the feeling of the shift. The animal instincts and the grass underneath her hooves. It was at this time that Jenny felt the throbbing in her spine.
This story was really fun to write, like extremely fun. I like this character so maybe I may do more. I worked hard on trying to bring an entire experience to this story so any feedback would be amazing. I hope the shift was detailed enough because I know that is why most of you read these. Thank you guys, again, for any feedback or comments made. See you soon ;).
